Elizabeth Jane Hurley, an English model and actress who was known during the 1990s as Hugh Grant's lover was a former English model. In the 1990s, when Grant was the center of attention for the media due to his worldwide box office success with Four Weddings and a Funeral, Hurley accompanied Grant in a plunged black Versace gown that was held in place by the gold safety pins. The actress gained immediate publicity from the media. Hurley's relationship with Estee Lauder, a cosmetics manufacturer, has been regarded as a defining moment in her professional career. Hurley was recruited by the company as their first model in the age of at the age of 29. From 1995 onwards, she's been used as a face in the products of the company such as Sensuous Intuition and Pleasures. Vanessa Kensington is her best known role from the Mike Myers spy comedies International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me, both that were a huge success. Hurley is the designer and model of an eponymous line of swimwear. Perry's first attempts at mainstream stardom were fruitless with two record labels signing and subsequently dropping her before any material was released. Capitol Records however released Perry's EP Ur So Gay in 2007. The title track was a cheerfully flippant track that received little attention. "I Loved a Girl a straightforward ode that expresses sexual desire accompanied by the beat of a hardedged electropop brought her more attention within a couple of months. It was a controversial song in that critics had criticized it for encouraging same-sex relationships and others claimed that it portrayed a racy scene that enticed men's desires for sexuality among females. I Kissed a Girl became the number one hit in the world due to the combination of titillation with a polished tune. The song also assisted her to sell more albums, including The One of the Boys. With its bouncy sharp-tongued second single Hot N Cold also proving popular the album much of the songs Perry wrote herself eventually registered the sales of over three million copies in the United States.
